Description

Ruggedness

  • Helical gear transmission lubricated by a sealed oil bath, providing maximal durability.
  • IP55 ingress protection, guaranteed watertight and dustproof.
  • High duty cycle: H4 (ASME HST-1); M5 (ISO); 2M (FEM) to withstand heavy use.
  • Calibrated GR80 alloy steel chain, case-hardened for maximal wear resistance.

  • The hoist can be powered by either one of three voltages: 115V/1Ph/60Hz, 230V/1Ph/60Hz and 230V/3Ph/60Hz

Maximum safety

  • Brake system using 2 technologies : a braking resistance doing most of the stopping coupled to an electromechanical brake capable of providing a minimum of 200% of the required braking torque.
  • Friction clutch overload protection to prevent excessive lifts and limiting potential accidents.
  • Limit switches integrated to the hoist’s frame to maximize headroom while providing increased safety.

VS1 Explained
  1. Upper hook : The upper hook can be turned and lock in any position. It has a cast safety latch with a locating notch for secure interlocking with the hook. An optional suspension lug is available to increase headroom.
  2. Braking resistor : The braking resistor converts braking energy into heat and dissipates it. It provides most of the stopping power, reducing wear and extending the electromechanical brake’s durability for safe, repeated stops.
  3. Motor : A three-phase squirrel-cage motor, certified to insulation class F for heavy use, with temperature monitoring via a sensor linked to the VFD.
  4. Friction clutch : The friction clutch on the motor’s shaft limits torque and prevents overloading. This safety feature protects the hoist and prevents accidents by limiting the maximum load weight.
  5. Load sprocket : The load sprocket ensures precise chain engagement for smooth, shock-free movement, thanks to its five-pocket design. This component is easily replaceable.
  6. Industrial connector : The industrial connector provides quick, reliable connection to the control pendant for easy and safe installation.
  7. Control pendant : The ergonomic control pendant activates lifting and lowering, with high and low speeds controlled by dual detent pushbuttons. It includes a mushroom-type emergency stop for extra safety.
  8. Transmission : Fully sealed aluminum gearbox to reduce drivetrain speed while multiplying torque for controlled and efficient lifting. Heat-treated alloy steel helical gears are wear-resistant, and oil bath lubricated, ensuring exceptional longevity and low noise.
  9. Cover : The lightweight aluminum cover protects internal components from dust, debris, humidity, and water. With an IP55 rating, VS1 hoists are both watertight and dustproof.
  10. VFD : The VFD controls the motor speed by adjusting the power frequency, offering precise control and energy efficiency. It allows two-speed control via the pendant and also provides monitoring and intervention functions for reliable and safe operation.
  11. Brake : When the hoist is in motion, a continuous current releases the braking mechanism to allow movement. When the hoist comes to a stop or is powered off, the current is cut, and the brake automatically re-engages, locking into place to securely suspend the load.
  12. Chain container : The chain container collects the free end of the load chain to prevent knots and keep it clean. Available in hard polymer, nylon fabric, or powder-coated metal.
  13. Load chain : Designed for superior resistance to wear and fatigue, this high-precision chain safely performs thousands of lifting cycles.
  14. Lower hook : The lower hook secures the load and pivots freely 360 degrees thanks to a thrust bearing. It has a cast safety latch with a locating notch for secure interlocking with the hook.
